Laboratory was also established in 1960, though initially for rendering assistance to quality control and testing on internal projects. On market demand scope has now been extended to undertake various test services like metallurgical analysis, mechanical, physical, chemical, and welding tests etc., for government and private institutions / customers.

Tests also covers the chemical composition, testing of metals, ferrous and non-ferrous, alloys, refractory, cement etc. These tests are carried out in accordance with BSS/ASTM standards and/or to any other classification / rules to meet customer’s requirement.
